A story that must be shown as well as told: the artistic expression of a man whose visions led him to embrace all belief systems and make up one of his own. Eddie O. Martin, the self-proclaimed “St. EOM” (pronounced Saint Om), lived a colorful life and left a colorful legacy.

All of the art you see in this video came from Eddie’s active imagination between 1957 and 1983, as he transformed the home he inherited from his mother into a world of its own.

Now caretakers of this folk art legacy in the rural Georgia hills outside Buena Vista, Columbus State University manages and curates this one-of-a-kind collection. Admission is by donation and the gates are open Fri-Sun 10-5.
